Honey in the Tombs

Honey in the Tombs

Click to Listen

I knew you as an orb of light
An iridescent Little moon
Before we Were sprinkled
Into the wet
Darkness of many Wombs

And we’ll survive
The common woes
Proud lovers do consume
Cause fickle hearts
Know no content
And revel in their gloom

But Our love prostrates
To the hand that crossed us
On the loom
And gave us light for our lovemaking
Stars above the dunes

And we’ll venture in the ground
A slumber from our wounds
While He preserves our Union
Much like honey in the tombs.
